OUTLANDS CORGIS
Maze is the next 'step' for us! I bred her hoping to pull a set of recessive traits from her pedigree and I got exactly what I wanted (Yay!) Athletic, pretty and shorter! My goal for this breeding was to push more a more breed type look to her without removing a lot of the core strength, stamina and ability. I don't believe in a farm dog that cannot actively work in what it was bred to be! I want to make a complete package and that takes a while when you're doing it from scratch. She was bred to 'do' things and she definitely has the smarts, willingness and athleticism to do exactly that. Her next step is to work into herding and some scent work for giggles. We left her tail on because my daughter begged for a tailed pup and so she got one. There are days that I really would have liked to see how she'd show in AKC, but, that's okay... next generation! Her first litter knocked it out of the park with several AKC confo winning pups and others starting to hit herding, agility and other sports. |
