OUTLANDS CORGIS
I've been yearning to get a son from this boy's dad for a while. I'd fallen in love with the look of his sire and kept his picture on my desktop for a couple of years before I broached his owner for the chance at getting a son. I got so lucky! It's not often that a show breeder gives a nobody with working dogs a chance! He has the lines I really wanted for progressing into the show 'look' to flip the proverbial switch in my program for that Corgi type everyone loves so much. He is very prepotent in type and I knew I could integrate that into the dam line I created that were sports/performance dogs. I love the 'do it' working lines, but I want the 'do' with a strong typey look that is undeniably Corgi and it is working very nicely! I have several Benny daughters now that are doing quite well in the show ring for conformation and are also retaining that lovely work-drive, instinct and 'try' that my dam line brings. Because of a set back that is not genetic however, Ben can no longer show in conformation. He'll continue in the breeding barn here and be a happy boy and very loved as he watches his kids win for him. He's a big love-sponge with an amazing personality and temperament. |
