OUTLANDS CORGIS
Hi! We're a small program totally out of our home in Eastern Washington State. It's just the two of us here and our dogs live inside our homes, not in kennels churning out babies. We don't have a lot of dogs by choice. Our dogs are part of our family and our pets first and foremost. While this may hinder how fast we achieve our goals, we don't care. It's our passion, not a job. Our dogs come first and we wouldn't have it any other way.
We believe in producing Corgis that exhibit what they were originally made to do - be herding dogs who have tight partnerships with their family. This means excellent temperaments, intelligence, athletic ability, stamina, strength and a strong off-switch. This makes a quality pet for the family, and a dog that can be a working animal or your best friend and still strut their stuff to ribbons in the show ring. That said, we're still working on our foundation. The old adage of 'building a house before you paint it' means something to us. I want beautiful dogs that can do more than stand pretty and trot once around a show ring while getting hand-fed treats and can't do anything else. Dogs that can stand up physically through working whether it be on cattle droving them, hiking with owners, or agility work. Fashion fades, structure remains. So, while our dogs aren't quite fashionable in quality for today's show ring, our dogs can and will do it all, with good attitudes, a real 'try' personality and won't be broken down because they're bred for a fuzzy coat and overly-short legs. We do not breed mixes, we do not breed for color - no dilutes, no fluffies, no merles. We also don't breed for strictly show dogs. We want type but we're not about to lose what a Corgi was bred for - a herding dog with a tremendous ability to turn on and off and be a partner to their owners. We can't promise you a show dog, but we can promise you a wonderful companion with athleticism and a 'do' attitude. This tends to piss off people who are strictly looking to win ribbons in a show ring. We don't care. We're not doing this for their egos. We do this for OUR passion and our purpose. :) Our puppies are sold strictly through word of mouth or on the AKC Marketplace and we do keep a presence on GoodDog. We do not utilize Craigslist, FB or other venues to sell our dogs. Our pups are given all advantages with vaccinations, structured worming, micro-chipping and quality foods. We follow early nurturing techniques and utilize both early puppy temperament milestones to give our babies the best start they can have and Volhard Puppy Temperament Assessments before they are placed! We don't want you to have an ornamental dog with a crappy temperament when we can be sure we're making that amazing companion we all want in our own home! We think our dogs are versatile and can do ANYTHING! Check out the Super Stars page to see some of what our dogs can do! Outlands Freya!

A Pembroke is not always the best Corgi for someone. When that happens, I recommend a Cardigan!
