Update on pups!

Hope you all had a great holiday weekend!

Pictures later! For now, we're moving all the pups into their pens in one room so they can begin to interact and because honestly, it's easier to keep up with them when they're not in bedrooms! ;) While someday I hope to have a custom puppy room, for now, it's my dining room that's sacrificed to puppydom! That's okay... we're gamers. It's not like we eat at a dinner table, right? lol
The dining room is on vinyl flooring for easy cleanup, it also allows for more room so they can have their puppy play gyms and actually get more active. They also have more natural lighting through the windows and we have a television which we put various programs on that simulate more of what they'll be used to at their new homes. Action movies, thuds, bangs and multiple voices all help desensitize puppies in a safe environment so they can stay confident and courageous!
This also allows us to start putting crates into their environment for sleeping. We lock them in for short amounts of time while we clean the enclosure and then we continue to do one on one crating in the office so they understand they're not dying if crated. LOL
It's all part of the progression! Right now, they're all litter box trained (both litters) and are eating both wet food and kibble full time. Mommas visit only when they think they can steal some wet food and nurse while they do their thieving. lol Puppies wean off the teat early but that doesn't mean they're ready to go at all. They still have a LOT to learn!
Fun stuff!
