We thought we'd see if Mids wanted to take some pics with his kids... So, here are some pics of him with one pup (Ivee aka Miranda) with daddy before daddy called a halt to it by running away and hiding under the bed LOL! Midas is a big marshmellow and loving as can be but he is terrified of his puppies. The nose wrinkles are just part of his face and not him snarling. His daughter Lilly has those same wrinkles so your pups probably will to. ;) I especially love the indignant look in the 3rd picture!
Pictures are up!
Most of the potatoes were -not- happy with the props! LOL
We'll be taking pics tomorrow, I'm just too tired tonight to do it. Yesterday we expanded the pen for both litters (see video from yesterday lol) and microchipped the Warcraft pups. Today, 2 pups went to their new homes (yay!) and more tomorrow and then more after that until they're all in your hot little hands!
ME litter... your pups are doing fantastic! They lost their focus a bit on where to potty once the pen expanded but mainly because they were too busy having fun. They're starting to get pooped from play and are toddling over to use the box again. Whew!
They are having a ball. Shepard and Javik have found the red boys from the Warcraft litter to pal around with and they're ALL hiding from Garrus and Miranda. Oh man those two... Warriors! Tali is sweet as pie and not easy to upset, oh but when you do... she is relentless. It's a lot of fun watching them all square off.
But for now, I'm wiped out... they're wiped out... so I'm going to let them all sleep after filling their bellies full of warmed puppy mush (yeah I know, they eat kibble just fine, but who doesn't like warm puppy mush??) and I will be vegging on Netflix.
Cheers and have a good Saturday night, all!
Because they're LOUD! lol
We combined the potatoes! Both litters are finally getting to play together. I took this after the Warcraft litter got microchipped today and while Meg was cleaning the pen and turning it into a single pen. We're washing the stuffed toys and soft bedding so that's why it's sparse. But I did toss in the vibrating ball and you guys can see (and hear!) the fun!
Ignore my dirty floors... that's the point of cleaning and we clean that floor about 19 billion times a day. ;)
All the times and places are lined up for these potatoes. I'll list below the schedule and let me know if anything is incorrect:
10/27: Lor'Themar & Jaina
11/3: Moses Lake
Please remember to bring a carrier, a blanket (it'll be chilly for your pup!), a small bowl for water and remainder of payment in the form of a cashier's check from your bank (made to Tina Moore), a money order from your post office or Walmart, or good old cash. If you want to remit the final amount via Popmoney ahead of time, that's fine too but remember Popmoney requires a few days to clear, so plan ahead.
Ok someone said the pics weren't showing up under the pup pages. They were for me, but I went and republished, so check again. If you can't see them... let me know!
Took pics last night, and again today (some pups were all blurry lol). Keep checking back for updates!
Do me a favor, Warcraft Litter Owners!
Give me a head's up on pick-ups. Email if you're doing Moses Lake or another date/time. I wrote all the info down, but just verifying so there aren't any mistakes.
As it states in the contract...
I microchip ALL my pups with Nano-chip. However, some people do the 'new pup' deal at their vets, and those typically include microchips. IF your vet is going to chip your pup, let me know before I chip them at 8 weeks old so they don't get double chipped.
Majority rules, so November 3rd is the date! We're planning to be there at noon and will hang around until 2-3pm if need be. The place to meet up will be Shari's Restaurant (back of the parking lot if possible) at 1820 Kittelson Rd, Moses Lake, WA 98837.
We'll be driving a Mazda SUV which is grey in color. We'll be the ones with the Corgi puppies. ;)
Please be prepared to pick up your babies. I'll be bringing your puppies, the puppy packs and a gallon of MY water.
You should be bringing a carrier (unless you're holding on your lap for the ride home) AND a blanket. It's going to be colder out. These potatoes are used to 70 degree heat - every day and night - 70 degrees. If you don't have a blanket, you're going to freeze them. You also need to bring a small dish for water. Puppies get thirsty during a long drive. Don't worry if your puppy won't eat the food while driving, but you can try and give him/her a treat to add a bit of calories to their tummy without loading it up with food (and find out quickly how much vomit stinks in cars). Your pup won't starve even if you're driving from Moses Lake to Seattle... but that pup WILL dehydrate.
The puppy packs have puppy pads. USE THEM. Don't put your puppy on the ground to pee or play. If you want to see your puppy play, wait until you're home. Let your puppy urinate on the pad only. It's safer.
Your pup will be scared and when puppies are scared they get immuno-depressed for a bit. You want things calm and quiet. Keep pup warm and speak gently and use gentle touching. Entice with the can of wet food I give you, give free-food kibble for a few days to get the interest up. Use my water and mix with yours to transition your pup over (to keep the runs away).
Don't be too worried if the pup isn't eating a lot (little tummy and everything's scary) but do let me know if that pup isn't eating at all on the 2nd day. Let me know immediately if the pup won't drink at all by the first night. There are tricks to get the pup drinking.
Don't be too worried about loose stools, a small fever or a small amount of vomiting in the car on the way home - all of that is stress-related and some pups get car sick. Any lethargy after a day is something you need to get with me about.
Normally your pup will bounce back within a few hours and be absolutely fine, but precautions are important for transitioning your pup to its new home. And, remember I'm ALWAYS here!
Refer to this post in the future, and we'll go over stuff again before the 3rd.
Sorry for taking so long! All Warcraft pups are fantastic and were VERY playful today. They ate an entire breakfast of kibble and only had a wet food lunch today. Dinner was also kibble. No fussing. (Jaina is still a bit small so she gets taken out for extra wet food) Tomorrow is worming day and the first time they get the yucky Safeguard. It won't be a fun day. It will be an enraged spitting puppy day. lol They'll deal with it. I guess Nemex-2 really was delicious. I almost feel like I'm betraying them! ;)
ME litter is AMAZING right now! Fun, playful as can be. They love, love, love to wrestle and pounce and snuggle. They're eating two meals of wet food a day now and are starting to ignore momma when she goes into the box. Tomorrow, they get to move to their new big puppy pen instead of a box! They love toys big time and need the room. They also get wormed tomorrow but unlike their bigger half sibs, they still get the yummy Nemex-2. Sorry Warcraft litter, sucks to be you.
Go check your puppy folders!!
Just a quick, one-handed update...
Photos have been taken, but I sliced my hand putting together the new pup pen and pretty sure I'm going to zip into Spokane for possible stitches. Hopefully, I can get back in time and be able to crop and upload pics... or have Meg do it for me. Sorry, guys! Wasn't expecting maiming. lol
Pics are a bit delayed. The pups are a bit under the weather from the vaccs. It's normal and they'll be back to their usual bouncy selves tomorrow. I'm just giving them today to sleep and not stress them out. I promise though, weekly individual pics tomorrow!
They did eat their breakfast this morning happily (they didn't want their dinner last night) and did snack on kibble during the night. They drank a good amount of water and are not feeling fevered and there are no lumps at injection sites, so I don't see anything unusual for the 4-1 shot.
I'll be watching them closely throughout the day and rest assured if I feel anything out of the norm, that potato will be to the vet asap (but I'm not worried).
The ME litter is doing great and pics WILL be coming of them today! They get their first Neopar Parvo shots next week!
I promise, I'm still trying to figure a way to make the size of the video for loading up smaller. But, for now, here's a vid!
Check under "Available Pups", it'll be there as the first link.
Working on photos, pics, and other things now. Stay tuned for those posts. We're a bit behind today, so keep checking in.
Today is the 1st batch of the 4-1 vaccs (minus parvo, that was last week) for the warcraft litter! We'll be doing pictures then vaccs on the potatoes today and hopefully all will be fantastic. They're eating 100% solid foods (2x a day wet, free feed kibble) and are getting into a good schedule. Lots of fun, exercise and a small amount of 'training' (feet, brushing, basic commands). They've figured out biting hurts... and that being nicer to their siblings is a smart thing (siblings also have teeth!). They're almost ready! Just 2 more weeks and they'll be good!
Now is the time I start to think of dates to do the Moses Lake Meet Up! Looking at 2 weeks away, so you all need to vote.
Oct 27 or 28 or Nov 3 or 4th?
ME litter: 4 weeks old! Being grumpy about wet food (some pups are a bit later than others, and Draud's are that way. It's normal. Most litters start the beginning of the wean process around 3-5 weeks old.) and only wanting to nurse is still the thing for this litter. They're all fatties and growing like weeds. The two girls are more interested in exploring a bit and the boys would rather sleep and THEY are the ones who prefer to just eat (and sleep). lol No vaccs for them today but they do get pictures done tomorrow.
Video Size: I heard ya... I just don't know how to make the uploads smaller on Weebly. Any suggestions?
Cleaning the pen today and we unleashed the potatoes back into it. Since their toys are being washed, they decided that the litter box was their new toy. Brats!
This morning I registered the two litters. I do pre-paid AKC registration with a prefix required (Outlands), but the paperwork you get will have the name available to be chosen by you. This means you will get a printed paper to fill out online and finish up registering your pups (already paid for, so do it!) or I can fill it out for you online once your puppy is paid for and in your care.
If you do it - you are in total control. If I do it, you have to trust me to handle it on your behalf. Up to you, but just letting you know that IF I do it, you will not have AKC paperwork in hand, it will come to your mailbox straight from AKC.
In other news...
Warcraft: Everyone is fantastic. They're playing, chewing on bully sticks (mostly), chewing on toys, chewing on siblings... pouncing. Pooping - a LOT! They aren't crying for momma, momma isn't crying for them. Momma is drying up - these potatoes are weaned off the teat!
They are currently eating Pro=Plan puppy chicken and rice wet food twice a day, with as much Pro-Plan chicken and rice kibble as they want. They fill up. They're still using the litter box and consistently (only a couple accidents a day) and I fill that with Yesterday's News paper litter.
Now we're down to simply learning to be good puppies. Regular play, getting feet messed for nail trimming, brushing, stacking and the command 'stay'. They get called their names in individual play time (especially you Eureka (aka Sylvanas), since you like to sass back at me with barks lol). They got to try on a harness (it was too big lol), they learned the word 'sit' with pressure on their butts. All in all, they're learning to be good dogs! They are figuring out that biting hurts and they shouldn't do it... it's all down to social growth. We're almost there!!
Mass Effect: Puppy mush today. Yesterday was a bit hectic and everyone is grumpy still trying to break that lower set of teeth in. Canines are in, but the front teeth aren't and they're not happy about it. Lots of gum rubbing to make it feel better. They're not interested in anything right now but momma and sleeping. It'll change in a few days once those teeth break the gums. I like to keep them stress-free at this point, so contact is light. A bit of snuggling and then back to momma.
ONE of the puppies is nursing off his brothers genitalia... so the boys all are wearing little 'onesies' to keep the offender from using them as a pacifier. lol Thankfully that should stop very soon, once their bellies get some puppy mush and the urge to continually nurse lessens. Goofy pups.
We've been getting a few household things in order for fall (and it seems the snow that might come earlier than usual?) so I didn't make my 'to buy' list. Sorry, Sorry! I will finish it up shortly. I promise! For now though? Hope you're all having a great day!
Able to upload pup pics! Go check folders!
Some of them were feeling very cranky, so a couple don't have a lot of photos this round. They're still figuring things out.
They get their first taste of puppy mush today. I'll take pics! ;)
Whew! Net is terrible today! Here ya go though! Check your pup's page!
Just some random litter pics here:
Warcraft litter: All pups handled their Neopar vaccine just fine. No fevers, no swelling on the injection site. They're all happy to play and get into trouble. We're doing a deep clean of the pen very shortly, and after that, I'll be taking pictures! Cross your fingers for good ones!
Mass Effect litter: Still really just whelp box muffins right now. They're starting to get bouncy and peer out of the box though... so I have been putting small stuffed toys in with them. They are investigating. Good weights, all love cuddling and being picked up.
I am also halfway done with a buying list for those who wanted a list (with links!) to what I use here, toys, etc. I'll be posting it up this evening with the pics.
Time is FLYING!!
Sorry for the lack of web updates, we've had some winds here on the Palouse and it was making net sporadic and things wouldn't load up. Seems to have leveled out today. Didn't want you to think I'd forgotten you! ;)
The Warcraft litter is doing fantastic! They're starting to eat kibble pretty consistently. Momma has pretty much weaned them from nursing completely. They eat puppy food, drink water, eat kibble. They're almost all using the litter box entirely. They're growing like weeds!
They will be receiving their first NeoPar vaccination for Parvovirus today, so I'll be watching them like a hawk. I haven't ever had a pup get a bad reaction but I take no chances. I check temps before the shot and a few hours after. It's a quiet day for them today.
The Mass Effect litter all have their eyes open, they're moving around and playing and still nursing full time. They're still right at that age where they don't really 'do' much. They get cuddled and have their feet touched, etc, but it won't be for another week that they're actually wanting to try and leave the box to explore the world.
