Today is bath day (again lol) and hopefully pictures. Meg is working today so I might have to wait until Wednesday to finish them up if I need an extra hand. Your potatoes are bouncy! lol
Everyone is practicing collars and harnesses with more intent right now. They are feeling the pull of the leash and are being asked to walk a short distance. They are learning sit, stay and come on the leash as well. Other tasks they are learning in this curiosity stage are coming when called and straight running with direction (not just running around playing) and the beginnings of manding when they approach. We are also practicing stacking - which is more for just show, it helps focus the pups for vet exams.
Most of the pups are doing great at it. The FF litter is a bit behind but they're a bit younger.
Teething is in full force now, so now is the time to buy those chewies in preparation. I do not use synthetic chewies for my pups, they never use them. You're free to introduce them when your pup goes home but understand that they NEED to chew. If they don't use your synthetic chewies, use bully sticks or other safe chews they can gnaw on.
Not allowing proper chewing will keep teeth from coming in correctly, an accumulation of plaque on teeth as well as the chance your pup finds your furniture, walls, clothing, etc as fantastic chewing material.
Also if you're going to the 5/18 Moses Lake Meet up, I will be there in the morning but I MUST leave no later than noon. I need to pick up Meghan at 2pm from work. This might change if Meghan passes her driving test... so cross your fingers for her! LOL
