OUTLANDS CORGIS
Personality?
GOOFY! What a silly dog he is. Very obedient, very quiet. He's a push-over and loves to be snuggled. His face says it all. There's nothing serious about him, unless it's his interest in a spoonful of whipped cream. Sometimes, he can be reluctant to come back inside from playing, but if you even say his name sternly, he's right there, making his way inside.
Let me just add here... If any of you have ever played Undertale, we call Midas "Greater Dog". You'll know what I mean just based off that. ;) Since his retirement, he's currently being utilized as an emotional support dog here, and is doing fantastic! His daughter Lilly (LCR Sister Nightingale of Outlands "Lilly") is just like him. Only she's far more sassy than daddy is. In fact, it was Lilly that made us want Midas so much! We're so happy he's in our life, even if he's no longer breeding. |
Conformation:
Midas is a smooth coat working line boy. He's got the thick, beefy jowls of a full male, the broad, masculine head and the short, powerful muscle. His body is square, just enough length and shortness of leg without making him refined. He's built like a brick. You run your hand down him and he's all muscle.
His legs are straight, square and strong for all their shortness. His joints are big, and his paws are well sized for his body. He's decently short but looks taller due to lack of feathering/coat, being a bit too cobby and having more of a shallow brisket. I'd also like to see a better placed ear on the skull. He has a good top line and ties into his front assembly well, but needs a more laid back shoulder. His rear angulation is nice and this fellow can go for MILES and HOURS without stopping. He's not a show dog at all but he has won a few conformation classes! |
